Counselling is helpful for a myriad of problems ranging from moderate to severe in intensity. It might be that you just want to talk something through, or that you feel overwhelmed, sad, lonely, flat or confused. Perhaps you are experiencing a dip in confidence or feeling stressed or insecure, or finding it difficult to come to terms with something in your past?
Maybe you have reached a crisis point. We prefer to focus on you as an individual rather than diagnosing or generalising the issues you might be facing but, in deciding whether counselling is for you, a list of the problems we regularly encounter may be helpful.
We have experience in helping with abuse, anxiety, bereavement, depression, divorce, emotional breakdowns, family issues, general counselling, grief, hopelessness, inertia, loss of identity, lack of confidence, low self-esteem, negative thought patterns, trauma, relationship problems, sexuality issues, stress, and work-related difficulties, though this list is by no means exhaustive.
Suffice to say that whatever you are dealing with, and however tempting it is to just soldier on, we are here to help and we understand how difficult it can be to take the first step. Be reassured, there is no judgement here and we will seek to quickly put you at your ease.
“Sometimes the hardest part of the journey is believing that you’re worthy of the trip”
